Who are we:
Don Sands is a Morpeth based artist working mainly in acrylic and pencil.
2025 has been a year of discovery, both in terms of starting to draw and paint again and finding a style.
After graduating from Glasgow School of Art in 1996, Don has spent the last 26 years in retail designing, building and transforming IKEA stores and operations globally.
After being bought some pencils and a pad of paper for Christmas 2024 and drawing friends and family pets through 2025, Don has spent 2026 exploring the North East’s wildlife and landscapes and starting to exhibit work around Morpeth and Northumberland.
